I am reading the ‘Learning the bash Shell.’ I think most of young programmers do not have any preferences for shells, which they heavily use in daily lives. Young programmers use ‘cmd.exe’ without any doubts on why it is inconvenient because they don’t have experience on utilizing Linux shells such as bash, tsh and csh. Without delving into what kinds of easy and convenient functions they support, it is natural that they don’t have any idea about shell. I ,as a programmer, love bash, but I love because of emacs functionalities such as key bindings and editing.
I determined to dive into learning about bash shell and shell scripting. I usually utilized shell scripts for maintaining my servers and project but I only use what I usually use. I want to more deeply understand shell and its philosophy.
In my opinion, ‘Learning the bash Shell’ is talkative but its verboseness is helpful for neophyte programmers, students.
Being prepared! and have a fun with bash.
